We are seeking a senior-level product engineer to join the MxU team and help build the future of church technology. This is a hands-on engineering role for someone who wants to shape product direction, talk directly with the people closest to the customer, and ship production software across web, desktop, and mobile.
About MxU
MxU was founded in 2019 to serve church production, worship, and tech teams through practical training and purpose-built software. We have served over a hundred thousand church volunteers and staff through our training platform, courses, and member content.
Our product is expanding beyond training into a broader operating system for church production teams: realtime dashboards, service planning, Planning Center-connected workflows, production tools, desktop integrations, mobile experiences, and operational analytics. Churches rely on this work every week, often live during services, so quality, clarity, and practical reliability matter.
We are a small team of high-level contributors. The work is broad, the ownership is high, and the best ideas can come from anyone.
The Role
At MxU, a Senior Product Engineer owns full features from rough idea to production-ready release. You will work with non-technical team members to understand customer pain, shape product direction, design the experience, and then implement the feature across the relevant parts of the stack.
This role is a fit for someone who enjoys both sides of product engineering: turning ambiguous customer needs into a crisp product path, then getting deep into code, tests, data models, APIs, UI details, and production behavior.
You will work closely with the CTO to keep product decisions, implementation choices, and technical architecture aligned as the product grows.
