Over the past 2 years we’ve completely rewritten our 15 year old polling platform from the ground up using Hotwire and edge Rails. Over the past 9 months we built a brand new research survey and course evaluation product on top of this new Poll Everywhere 2.0 foundation.

We were able to do this largely by being eager adopters of AI technology, adapting quickly, and focusing on what is valuable to our customers rather than automating busywork.

In the back half of 2026, we’re driving adoption of the new survey product, back-porting the best parts of it to our polling product, and smoothing the experience of customers moving from our 1.0 platform to the re-written 2.0.

We’re looking to bring on an engineer who can deliver on time while embracing AI tools to dramatically improve product ease-of-use, reduce defects, and polish our product suite. At the same time we need to use these tools to keep the system performant, well-designed, and maintainable for our small team.
